About Garrett
Garrett Dixon is a lifelong resident of House District 38. Over 160 years ago, Garrett’s family settled in Salem and worked the land and served their local community. A dedicated cotton and peanut farmer, Garrett knows the value of hard work, resilience, and faith… values that make our communities strong.
Alongside his wife Robin, Garrett is raising the next generation, Chandler Jane and James Cash, with the same values that have guided his family for generations: integrity, service, and commitment to community. He understands the unique challenges facing rural families and small-town life because he lives them every day.
Garrett isn’t a career politician; he’s one of us. He brings a deep understanding of rural life, family values, and local issues that matter. With a heart for service and a history of stewardship, Garrett Dixon is ready to stand up and be a voice for the district he’s always called home.
Garrett graduated high school from Smiths Station High School and is a 2014 graduate of Auburn University. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Opelika. His wife Robin, is a public school teacher at Smiths Station High School.
